Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi have looked unbelievably stylish for all of their appearances at the screenings of Emerald Fennell‘s Wuthering Heights leading up to its release – and their looks for the London premiere on Thursday, 5 February were no exception.
After jaw-dropping looks at the Paris and Los Angeles premieres, the Australian acting duo have again struck the most wonderful balance between contemporary style and Victorian-inspired gothic fashion for their outfits at the UK premiere.

Once again, Oscar nominee Margot Robbie has brought out an eye-catching naked dress for her red carpet appearance, and it might just be our favourite to date.
She dazzled in a dress from Turkish designer Dilara Fındıkoğlu’s fall 2025 ready-to-wear collection, which was crafted from a sheer fabric contrasted by a bold goldish-green plumage and embroidered details across the bodice. The symmetrical rope-like embroidery continued through the A-line skirt, and a beautiful train fell behind her.
Her accessories were just as breathtaking, especially her bracelet, which appears to be at least a replica of one owned by Charlotte Brontë that was woven from the hair of her sisters, Anne and Emily Brontë.

Laura Sutcliffe, HELLO!‘s Fashion and Beauty News Editor, gave us her take on the dress, saying: “Margot Robbie wore this stunning corseted design, and although it is flesh-coloured and looks like it’s part of her skin, it’s actually an optical illusion.
“It’s a way of looking like you’re being super daring when you’re actually being fashion forward and thinking about choices,” she continues.
Our fashion expert also credits Margot Robbie with the resurgence of the ‘naked dress’, adding: “Although we know that this particular style of dress has been around for quite a few years, she brought it to the forefront of our minds back in summer when she wore a dazzling Armani Privé gown on the red carpet for A Big Bold Beautiful Journey.”
On why they have taken the world by storm, Laura believes that it’s because “they’re a risky way of showing flesh, but still looking high-fashion, which is quite a unique combination.”

The man of the moment, and one of the most fashionable stars on the planet, it’s no surprise that Jacob Elordi rose to his co-lead’s level for the London premiere.
In a more muted colour palette, he went for a soft beige shirt and trousers from Bottega Veneta, complete with a matching overcoat that emphasised his stature. His darker tie stood out against the rest of the look, making a quiet break to the single-colour suit.

Alison Oliver, who also starred in Saltburn, made an adorable appearance aside her little Pomeranian, who completely stole the show.
She looked magnificent in a silky gown in a gorgeous pinkish cream hue, which featured three embellished bows down the bodice and lace detailing along the neckline, before draping into a straight, almost-pencil silhouette.

Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Charli XCX, who created the soundtrack for the film brought out one of her most dazzling looks of the tour so far, channelling a gothic bride with her own twist.
In a baby pink off-the-shoulder bridal gown from Erdem, complete with a veil, she completely leaned into the aesthetic that the cast have been curating for the film.

Emerald Fennell, the director of the film, went for a bright, bold scarlet dress for the occasion. It featured a v-neckline and split sleeves, as well as a corset-like split between the top and bottom half, where a layer of sheer red draped into an elegant train behind her. She accessorised with an incredible necklace, set with glistening sapphires.

Spooks and Star Trek: Discovery star Shazad Latif went for a look straight off the Hermès runway, with a layered outfit: he opted for a cream turtleneck, over which he wore a darker waistcoat and a bold leather overcoat to round it all off. His tinted sunglasses and dark wash jeans completed the luxurious ensemble beautifully.

The rise of the ‘naked dress’ trend
Tania Leslau, HELLO! Fashion‘s Fashion Features Editor and an expert on the ‘naked dress’ trend, explained: “After Cannes Film Festival banned the dress code for 2025, fans of the flirtatious fad doubled down on their love for all things sheer, ensuring that no red carpet went without at least one stellar naked look for all to coo over.”
The fashion expert added that, understandably, “women took issue with this policing of their bodies” and how now “fabrics ranging from sheer mesh to metallic knit, chainmail, lace and airy organza” are used for diverse takes on the trend.
She concluded: “Fashion insiders understand that the naked dress phenomenon is nothing new – just ask Kate Moss.” Though she crowned 2025 the “year of the naked dress“, she’s also sure that the trend is here to stay, as celebrities like Margot Robbie have continued to bring out new, bold takes on it.
