The UK is set to sizzle with hot weather once more – as temperatures skyrocket to above 20C within just a matter of days. Warmer weather is set to return in style after the temperatures began to cool this weekend.
WX Charts show the next hot weather will be expected on Sunday, May 11, with 20C widepsread – from the North West of England to Greater London in the south.
The warmest hour will be around 3pm on Monday, May 12, with highs in the mid-twenties – and London and the south east set to benefit the most from the weather.

In the short-term, a Met Office forecast for Monday (May 5) explains: “Largely dry this week. Showery at times in the southeast. Breezy in the southeast today with scattered showers. Largely dry elsewhere with patchy cloud and sunny spells, although the odd shower possible at times across England.
“Feeling pleasant in the sunshine, but cooler around coasts with an onshore breeze. A few light showers possible tonight in eastern England. Dry elsewhere with largely clear skies and a patchy frost. A few fog patches possible in Northern Ireland and western Scotland.”
Looking at Tuesday, it adds: “Dry for most with sunny spells, but cloudier in northern Scotland and parts of southeast England, with scattered showers. Light winds for most, but brisk winds in the southeast.”
The outlook for Wednesday to Friday explains: ” High pressure will dominate, bringing dry weather for most and sunny spells. However, skies will be cloudier at times in the south with drizzly showers, particularly in the southeast.”
The BBC says: “Today, most will see a mixture of sunny spells and patchy cloud. Far south-east England will be windy with a few isolated showers in the morning. Longer spells of sunshine in Northern Scotland.
“Tonight, much of central and eastern England as well as far north-west Scotland will see cloudy skies. In far southern England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland, a clear night. Chilly for many.
“Tomorrow will see widely dry conditions under the influence of high pressure overhead. South-eastern and far north-western areas will see more in the way of cloud, albeit still quite variable. Milder.”
