True figure may be much higher with trusts updating records excluded
Hundreds of children and more than 5,000 adults across Northern Ireland are currently waiting for their first mental health appointment, according to data provided by the Department of Health.
At least 500 children and more than 5,200 adults across Northern Ireland are on waiting lists for their first mental health appointment, Department of Health data has revealed.
However, the numbers could be much higher, as they don’t include figures for health trusts updating their digital medical records systems.
