Hollyoaks aired a crushing update for Nancy and Darren Osborne as their relationship looks to be over.
The pair, who wed for the third time in 2022, have drifted apart in recent months after Nancy suspected that Darren had slept with Kat Omari, though they are both unaware that the newcomer had altogether more sinister motives.
Despite that, the pair eventually separated but still had to tolerate each other as they lived under the same roof, with old flames being reignited yesterday as Nancy confessed that she still loved Darren despite their estrangement.
Tuesday’s (6 May) instalment began with a chipper Darren cooking breakfast for Nancy and Jack, with the character confirming to Jack that the estranged couple had slept together the previous night. Despite his bubbly mood, Nancy was evidently more reserved.

Though Darren expressed his hope – and expectation – that he’d get back together with Nancy during a conversation with Dodger, he got a shock as a sullen Nancy handed him divorce papers to formalise their separation.
Darren was understandably shocked at the turn of events following the previous night – will the pair be able to work through their differences, or is Nancy’s latest decision the final straw for their relationship?…

Elsewhere on the Channel 4 soap, former Waterloo Road star Zak Sutcliffe has been confirmed as the latest actor to portray Bobby Costello, with the character set to return after a two-year absence later this year.
“I’m having a lot of fun with my time on Hollyoaks so far. It’s exciting to get into something gritty and complex,” said Sutcliffe, who succeeds Jayden Fox in the role, in an exclusive conversation with Digital Spy.
“Mercedes hasn’t been able to see her son Bobby recently. Fans know that she’s been undergoing treatment for bowel cancer and recently spent time in prison,” said a source for the soap, who added that the storyline would contain “emotional scenes”.
Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
