Locals screamed “get out” after a woman’s car burst into flames while she was in it. Emergency services are now responding to the car fire which took place on an Edinburgh residential street.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) were alerted to the blaze at around 6.36pm on Monday, March 23. One appliance was deployed to the scene on Hoseason Gardens, near Clermiston Park.
An image from the scene shows a fire fighter beside a burnt out vehicle parked in a driveway. Another shows a firefighter spraying the smoking car with water.
A bystander told Edinburgh Live: “Someone pulled over and someone screamed to the driver to get out of the car.
“There were flames coming from the bottom of the car. The woman ran out. She seems really shaken.
Crews remain on the scene. No casualties have been reported.
A spokesperson from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We received a call at 6.36pm on Monday, March 23 to a car on fire on Hoseason Gardens.
“We dispatched one appliance to the residential street. There have been no casualties. Our crew remains on the scene.”
