A woman has died after an incident on a major route near Bristol this morning (Monday, March 30).
Emergency services were called to the scene on the A4 Keynsham Bypass around 9.30am.
A woman in her 50s has died and her family have been made aware, police confirmed this afternoon.

The A4 was closed in both directions for much of today, with drivers reporting “gridlock” traffic around Keynsham.
The A4 has reopened westbound, but at the time of reporting, the eastbound carriageway remains closed.
Avon and Somerset Police said: “A woman, in her 50s, sadly died in an incident at about 9.30am on the A4 Keynsham Bypass today (Monday 30 March).
“Her family have been informed, and our thoughts go out to them at this difficult time.
“The A4 was closed in both directions, but the Bristol-bound carriageway has now reopened.”
