A woman was trapped inside a stolen Uber after it was taken from a Birmingham petrol station – before the thief pulled over, told her to ‘get out’ and even ‘fist-bumped’ her as she departed.
The passenger said she was in the taxi when it was stolen from the forecourt of Shell petrol station on Harborne Lane at around 9.35pm on Wednesday, April 8.
She told BirminghamLive: “I was a passenger at the time.
“Strangely, the thief just calmly drove me to a bus stop and told me to go.
“He then fist-bumped me as if I was his best mate.

She claimed: “The police didn’t give me a lift home and were more interested in recovering the stolen vehicle.”
