Everton Women are halfway through their 20-day break. With safety now essentially secured in the top flight, there is a sense that the season is beginning to wind down.
Last time out they were well beaten by Manchester United 2-0, although victory a week earlier over Crystal Palace pushed the Blues up the table. They now sit 10 points clear of the bottom club with just four matches to play.
A number of players have been involved in international fixtures in recent days, while this weekend the FA Cup takes centre stage in the women’s game. Here is a closer look at the latest Everton Women news 10 days out from their trip to Manchester City.

International Blues in action
Justine Vanhaevermaet was one of the star performers for Belgium on Tuesday as they won 3-2 against England. She netted in the 16th minute and played the full 90 minutes for the Red Flames.
There were also an impressive international showing for Veatriki Sarri, who scored for Greece past her Everton team-mate Courtney Brosnan. However, Brosnan’s Republic of Ireland side eventually won 2-1.
Kelly Gago and Hayley Ladd also got minutes for France and Wales respectively, while 19-year-old Emma Watson was a late substitute for the Scotland senior side against Germany, albeit they lost 6-1.
Sara Holmgaard also played the full 90 minutes for Denmark in a 3-0 defeat to Italy.
Duo Launch New Project
Brosnan and Katja Snoeijs have both been named ambassadors for Everton in the Community’s 2026 Street Child World Cup journey.
Everton’s official charity will represent Team England at the event next year. EitC will be taking youngsters from across Merseyside to the event in North America. Brosnan and Snoeijs have now been drafted in to help the players in the build-up to the event.

Brosnan said: “The Street Child World Cups have a life-changing impact on the young people who take part in them and it’s an honour to be able to support EitC’s journey in next year’s tournament. Football has the power to unite diverse communities and shine a light on prevalent social issues which is what this event is all about. I look forward to meeting the girls who will be representing Everton!”
The event sees FIFA look to bring street children from across the globe together to play football a year before each Men’s World Cup competition. In addition to matches there are arts festivals and child-friendly Congress sessions to educate those involved about their rights.
