From scoring a goal at Wembley to interviewing TV legends, this Bristol boy’s year is already off to a winning start.

George Clarke has 2.2 million followers on TikTok, where his career began as @georgeclarkeey, making comedic videos at home during lockdown.

Five years on, he and his fellow influencer friends can hardly go anywhere without being recognised by their masses of young viewers.

At 25 years old, George has turned a hobby into an entire career, now posting regular YouTube videos, podcasting and travelling the world with some of the UK’s biggest YouTubers. This year, his work has taken him to entirely new heights, thanks to his collaborations with YouTuber group turned businessmen, the Sidemen, who have an impressive 22.3 million subscribers.

Before picking up his phone to share viral videos online, George grew up just outside of Bristol with his family and attended an unnamed private school nearby. He later went to Exeter University, where he studied sports and exercise science before graduating and becoming a full-time content creator.

His first video was uploaded in 2019, and within two days, it received a shocking five million views, virtually making him an overnight internet sensation. Since then, he joined forces with like-minded creators who regularly feature in each other’s videos and some of whom he even lives with in London.

In 2022, he launched a hit podcast The Useless Hotline, alongside his co-host Max Baledge which took them on a successful tour around the UK.

With the occasional guest, they have been known to interview the likes of JoJo Siwa, Alan Carr, Chloe Burrows and James Buckley.

Not only has he been brushing shoulders with TV legends, but earlier this year, George became a TV star in his own right. A far cry away from his early DIY comedy skits, the podcaster starred in a Netflix game show called Inside, now available to stream.

The show sees him compete with other big social media names as they battle it out for a prize draw of £1 million. The Sidemen production features several internet personalities who take part in challenges to secure a prize fund but have to live for a week with all luxury items stripped from them. To secure themselves anything outside of the basic rations, they have to spend money from the prize draw.

Before the launch of the reality TV show, George also made his way onto the pitch at Wembley Stadium. The online world and the football world came together on March 8, 2025, for the Sidemen Charity Match, which saw the YouTuber play on the famous pitch.

He gained further recognition when he scored a goal to a sold-out crowd at the England Ground and solidified his booming online presence further. Big names that played alongside him included American internet personalities Logan Paul, MrBeast and the Sidemen’s very own KSI.

As his millions of followers anticipate what he does next, locals can only hope his next viral moment sees him return to his humble beginnings in Bristol.
