The first North Scotland Garden Show is set to bring garden lovers, nature enthusiasts and families together this summer.
Running on Friday, June 13 and Saturday, June 14 at the Turriff showground, the event celebrates gardening, sustainability and creative outdoor living.
The first North Scotland Garden Show will be held at the Turriff showground in June.
Organisers say that visitors are already booking tickets from across Scotland and beyond, with early registrations coming from as far as Shetland, Orkney and Bristol, making this one of the region’s biggest new outdoor events of the year.
With an expected attendance of thousands across both days, the event is set to put Turriff firmly on the horticultural map.
Event organiser Julie-Ann Henderson said: “We wanted to create something special for the north of Scotland.
“This isn’t just for the green-fingered – it’s for anyone who enjoys the outdoors, cares about the planet or simply wants a great day out.
“The north-east has been crying out for an event like this, and we’re thrilled to finally make it happen.”
Friday’s programme features an inspiring line-up of talks from plant experts, garden designers, beekeepers and sustainability champions.
Visitors will discover innovative gardening techniques suitable for Scotland’s unique climate, hear about eco-friendly packaging solutions from industry innovators and get practical landscaping advice from award-winning designers.
Saturday transforms into a hub of hands-on activities and family fun across the entire showground.
Visitors can take part in practical workshops learning pond building techniques with experts from Deveron Water Lilies, try traditional willow weaving with skilled crafters from Deeside Willow, master home composting basics with educators from UHI Moray College, and hear from experts at the Animal and Plant Health Agency.
Throughout the day a range of children’s activities, demonstrations and entertainment will keep little hands busy and curious minds engaged.
More than 60 local businesses and garden specialists will create a marketplace selling everything from rare Scottish plant varieties and artisan garden tools to handcrafted outdoor furniture and botanical-inspired artwork.
Visitors can wander through display gardens designed specifically for northern growing conditions, watch live demonstrations of gardening techniques, and sample local food and drink from Aberdeenshire producers in the dedicated food area.
Tickets are on sale now at www.nsgardenshow.com
The event runs from 10am to 4pm both days, with free on-site parking.
