Floral tributes have been left outside a home in Glasgow, following the death of a woman.
Cops, who remain at the scene, have detained a pensioner, after the 71-year-old was found dead at a property on Newfield Square in Nitshill, Glasgow, at around 9.45pm on Saturday.
Officers were responding to reports of a disturbance at a home on the street before the woman was discovered seriously injured.
According to the Daily Record, she was pronounced dead at the scene and police have since confirmed that a 78-year-old man has been detained.

The local community have been left in shock following the incident and flowers have been left outside the property.
Pictures have been left by local children, and the words “RIP Margret, we miss you” written in chalk on the pavement alongside a love heart and a star.
It’s understood police and ambulance crews attended the street, shortly before 10pm last night.
A cordon was placed near the property and officers remained stationed outside the home overnight.
One neighbour said: “It’s really shocking. We just heard all the sirens at around 10pm and looked outside to see all the police outside. We knew something serious had happened straight away.
“A cordon was placed near the home, where an elderly couple stayed.
“No one will tell us what happened but everyone has been left in shock.”

Another neighbour added: “We don’t want to speak about what happened. It has been an emotional day for everyone here.”
A police car remained parked outside the home on Sunday, with a number of uniformed officers still at the scene.
The force say enquiries are at an early stage and remain ongoing. There is no risk to the wider public.
