According to West Midlands Police, officers were alerted to reports of a burglary in progress at an address on Greenhill Road this morning (Thursday, May 14) at around 8.45am.

Officers from West Midlands Police’s Dudley Response team arrived at the scene and spotted a man attempting to flee.

After a foot chase, the man was arrested before officers uncovered a cannabis grow.

A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and remains in custody for questioning as our investigation continues.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “Officers from the Dudley Response team were quick to get to the scene and spotted a man attempting to flee.

“Following a foot chase, we caught up with a suspect, and a man was arrested just minutes later.

“Taking a closer look inside the property, officers then found a cannabis grow with hundreds of plants being grown across multiple rooms.”
