West Midlands Police has issued an image of a man its officers would like to speak to after a stolen BMW X3 crashed with a car in Acocks Green

A driver of a stolen BMW crashed into a second car in Birmingham before leaving the scene.
The crash took place at the junction of Shirley Road and Dolphin Lane in Acocks Green on Thursday, May 2.
The stolen car, a black BMW X3, had been taken in a burglary in Solihull earlier that day.
The driver of the BMW left the scene after the crash and West Midlands Police is asking for the public’s help to identify him.

Officers have issued an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
He is white, with black hair and a beard and is seen running along a pavement wearing a grey hoodie.
He is also pictured wearing grey cargo trousers, black trainers and socks.

In issuing the appeal, a spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “Recognise this person?
“Officers investigating a collision involving a stolen car are appealing for information which could help with their enquiries.
“Shortly after 8pm on 2 May, the car was involved in a collision with another car at the junction of Shirley Road and Dolphin Road, Acocks Green.
“The car, a black BMW X3, had been stolen in a burglary in Solihull earlier that day.
“The driver of the stolen car fled the scene and we are working to try and identify them.
“We’re keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the crash and may have seen what happened.
