Northern Ireland striker Conor Washington will leave Championship club Derby County at the end of his contract.

The 32-year-old forward has not featured in the League for the Rams this season and has, unsurprisingly, not been offered a new contract.

Washington joined the club in July 2023, playing 22 games and scoring three goals as County secured promotion from League One last term. However, he has played no part in the club’s escape from relegation this season.

The striker made his Northern Ireland debut in 2016, earning 43 caps, however has not played for his country since 2023 when he was a second half substitute in a 2-0 win over Denmark.

Meanwhile, former Northern Ireland international Matthew Lund has been replaced by League Two club Salford City despite playing 37 games this season.

The 34-year-old spent four seasons with the club, making a total of 167 appearances. The midfielder won three caps between 2016 and 2017.

In more positive news, former Linfield man Paul Smyth has been offered a new deal by Championship club QPR. The 27 year-old played 42 times for the Hoops this term.
