Leeds United<\/a> will be eager to spend the valuable revenue that staying in the Premier League has afforded them on multiple new signings this summer.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

However, there are also set to be multiple departures from Elland Road over the summer. The likes of Illan Meslier<\/a> and others are set to leave the club when his contract expires.<\/p>\n

Willy Gnonto is another player who seemingly has an uncertain future in West Yorkshire<\/a>. And, it would not be a summer transfer window without the annual Pascal Struijk departure links<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Leeds United must sell Mateo Joseph sooner rather than later<\/p>\n

But there is another player Leeds should be looking to move on. That is even if Paraag Marathe<\/a> is said to be keen on the United ace.<\/p>\n

Mateo Joseph<\/a>, 22, left the Whites to join Mallorca on loan after it became apparent that the Spaniard\u2019s game time would be extremely limited in the top flight with Leeds. <\/p>\n

According to a recent report from Leeds Live<\/a>, Leeds chairman Marathe is said to admire Joseph. Hence, Leeds opted not to include a buy option in his loan deal to Mallorca.<\/p>\n

But regardless of his personal feelings towards Joseph, Marathe and the board should be looking to move the striker on as quickly as possible. Of course, only when he recovers from the ACL injury he picked up back in April.<\/p>\n

During his loan spell in La Liga, Joseph was poor. The forward scored just twice and recorded three assists in 29 league appearances as Mallorca were ultimately relegated.<\/p>\n

What makes this worse is that both of Joseph\u2019s league goals came in the same game. He netted a brace away to Sevilla midway through October.<\/p>\n

Whilst he is still young, Leeds still may be able to get a decent fee for Joseph when he recovers. But, one way or another, the Spaniard must be moved on, it\u2019s clear he isn\u2019t part of Daniel Farke\u2019s<\/a> plans.<\/p>\n

49ers must get better at selling dead wood at Leeds United<\/p>\n

Whilst the 49ers have recruited excellently for the vast majority of their time in charge at Leeds, the same cannot be said when it comes to player sales.<\/p>\n

The fact that Meslier is walking out the door for free this summer is criminal<\/a>. He should\u2019ve been sold at the end of Farke\u2019s first season in charge when it was evident he was no longer good enough.<\/p>\n

Whilst he will not leave for free, United must sell Joseph whilst his stock is high, which has been made hard after his poor season out on loan and subsequent injury.<\/p>\n

Joseph should never have been loaned out in the first place. And, he should have been sold last summer after coming off the back of helping Leeds win the Championship title whilst he was a player in demand.<\/p>\n

However, due to his age, clubs are likely to still be interested in him due to his potential. Leeds must quickly sanction a sale as soon as possible when he is back fit.<\/p>\n

Another poor loan move would only tank his value further. That is not a risk United should be willing to take.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s also not forget that this is the same Joseph who refused to link up with the team in pre-season<\/a> last year to force a move away.<\/p>\n

As far as I\u2019m concerned, this alone should be enough to put him on the transfer list. We do not need that type of personality corrupting the amazing dressing room atmosphere Farke has seemingly built.<\/p>\n
