In the summer, Arsenal cannot afford to be frugal as next season is the time when the Emirates faithful will be hoping for Mikel Arteta to deliver major silverware<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Andrea Berta has been proactive at Arsenal<\/a> and under his reign, the Italian will be hoping that the decision-makers loosen the purse strings, starting this summer.<\/p>\n

While Real Madrid consider William Saliba too expensive<\/a> to sign at the end of the season, players like the Frenchman may refrain from signing new contracts if they sense a lack of ambition behind the scenes.<\/p>\n

However, journalist Kaveh Solhekol has told Sky Sports News that Arsenal will have \u201cat least\u201d \u00a3100 million to spend on transfers, excluding the revenue they generate from potential sales.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I can tell you is that Mikel Arteta will be seriously backed in the transfer market this summer. He will have at least \u00a3100 million to spend plus any funds that are raised from selling players.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s important to stress that Arsenal are in a very healthy position financially. They\u2019ve got no PSR issues. They realise obviously that finishing second is not good enough for their fans, they want to back Mikel Arteta this summer.\u201d<\/p>\n
