Napoli have completed the permanent signing of Denmark international striker Rasmus Hojlund<\/a> from Manchester United<\/a> , following a successful loan period, both clubs confirmed on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The Independent understands the move is worth \u20ac44m plus the \u20ac6m loan fee paid to United which will help fund the Premier League club\u2019s rebuild<\/a> this summer. <\/p>\n

The 23-year-old forward enjoyed a productive spell in Italy last season, netting 16 goals across 44 appearances in all competitions and his contributions were instrumental in Napoli securing the Supercoppa Italiana and finishing second in Serie A.<\/p>\n

Hojlund initially joined Manchester United from Atalanta in 2023, going on to score 26 goals for the Premier League club before being sent out on a season-long loan under former head coach Ruben Amorim<\/a>. <\/p>\n

He won the FA Cup with United in May 2024 under ex-manager Erik ten Hag<\/a>, making an appearance as a substitute in the final against Manchester City at Wembley.<\/p>\n

Hojlund\u2019s time at Old Trafford was clouded by the team\u2019s unpredictable form with the young forward unable to live up to the high \u00a372m price the club paid for him. <\/p>\n

Man Utd confirmed the news of his permanent exit on their website with a statement which reads: \u201cRasmus Hojlund has joined Napoli on a permanent transfer.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Denmark international spent last season on loan at the Italian club, scoring 16 times in 44 games across all competitions, and has now permanently joined the Neapolitans.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe boyhood United fan signed from Atalanta in the summer of 2023 and went on to score 26 goals in 95 appearances.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was part of the Reds squad that lifted the Emirates FA Cup in May 2024, having come on as a substitute against Manchester City at Wembley.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the start of the 2025\/26 season, Hojlund returned to Italy on a season-long loan, helping Napoli to win the Supercoppa Italiana and finish runners-up in Serie A.<\/p>\n
