{"id":1003007,"date":"2026-06-03T16:32:16","date_gmt":"2026-06-03T16:32:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1003007\/"},"modified":"2026-06-03T16:32:16","modified_gmt":"2026-06-03T16:32:16","slug":"man-beaten-in-possible-antisemitic-gang-attack-in-germany","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1003007\/","title":{"rendered":"Man beaten in possible antisemitic gang attack in Germany"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man wearing a Star of David pendant was beaten by a group of men in a possible antisemitic attack in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/international\/islamic-terrorism\/article-897262\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Germany<\/a> on Sunday, the Bavarian Police announced on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The 41-year-old victim was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/diaspora\/article-897514\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">attacked<\/a> before dawn in Erlangen by three men, who had left the scene before police arrived. The victim was taken to a hospital after being given initial medical treatment at the site of the incident.<\/p>\n<p>Police are investigating whether the attack may have been motivated by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/diaspora\/antisemitism\/article-898029\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">antisemitism<\/a>\u00a0because the victim was wearing a Star of David necklace at the time of the suspected aggravated assault.<\/p>\n<p>Following a separate incident in January, Berlin Police announced last Tuesday that they were seeking five men suspected of involvement in an alleged antisemitic attack on an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/diaspora\/antisemitism\/article-896980\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Israeli<\/a> man.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">The 40-year-old Israeli and his female companion were allegedly punched, kicked, and subjected to antisemitic insults in an unprovoked gang assault.
