The recent sunny forecast has created a distinctly summery atmosphere in Liverpool – and the warm temperatures will no doubt have many people making plans for sunshine activities. Whether you’re looking for family friendly walks or perfect beer gardens, the Liverpool ECHO has got you covered.<\/p>\n

Our What’s On department is dedicated to bringing you the latest updates on everything going on in the city. That includes new bar and restaurant openings, festivals and concerts, family fun days and everything in between.<\/p>\n

If you want to hear the latest on what’s happening in Liverpool this summer, but you don’t want to go searching for it, there’s a convenient place where you can get the latest What’s On news sent straight to your phone.<\/p>\n

Among the exciting events taking place in Liverpool this summer is the BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend festival<\/a>, which will take over Sefton<\/a> Park during the bank holiday weekend at the end of May.<\/p>\n

The three-day music festival will take place from Friday, May 23, until Sunday, May 25, with an incredible line-up of stars set to grace the city over the weekend.<\/p>\n

Sam Fender and Mumford & Sons<\/a> will headline the festival, which takes place each year in a different location across the UK. Other big names set to make an appearance include Jade, Sugababes<\/a>, Lola Young, Myles Smith and Natasha Bedingfield<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u200cFans can also look forward to performances by Biffy Clyro, James Hype and Tom Grennan. Tickets for two of the days are now completely sold out, with the only option available to still attend as a fan being on Friday, May 23.<\/p>\n

Another thing to enjoy in May is the extended run of FLOW at St George’s Hall<\/a>. This breath-taking musical light show has transformed the city landmark \u201clike never before\u201d. Audiences will be immersed for 30 minutes in a flow of sound and visuals. Classical music and nature lovers can now buy tickets for dates in May and June via Fever Tickets<\/a> cost \u00a312 for adults and \u00a37 for children.<\/p>\n

And Liverpool art fans will be able to enjoy this summer\u2019s Beyond Van Gogh and Beyond Monet exhibitions<\/a> at Exhibition Centre Liverpool from Tuesday, July 15 until Friday, August 15.<\/p>\n

Beyond Van Gogh and Beyond Monet will be staged on different days throughout what is now a four-and-a-half-week stay at the waterfront venue. Produced by Annerin Productions and Paquin Entertainment Group, the immersive Van Gogh experience brings together more than 300 of the post-Impressionist icon\u2019s paintings blended with cutting-edge technology and a specially curated musical soundtrack to tell the story of one of history\u2019s most influential artists.<\/p>\n

\u200cVisitors are able to wander through iconic works – including The Starry Night, Sunflowers and Terrace of a Caf\u00e9 at Night – as they come alive around them.<\/p>\n

The immersive Monet experience has been seen by thousands of people at venues across North America, and now it is coming to the UK, following in Beyond Van Gogh\u2019s footsteps by being premiered in Liverpool.<\/p>\n
