The game is due out on August 28, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>FromSoftware was originally planning on having the port wrapped up for 2026. However, that didn\u2019t happen as the company <a href=\"https:\/\/nintendoeverything.com\/elden-ring-delayed-to-2026-on-nintendo-switch-2-statement-released\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>announced a delay last October<\/strong><\/a>. FromSoftware cited the need for \u201cgame performance adjustments\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Members of the media as well as fans were able to go hands-on with Elden Ring at Gamescom last August. The demo version indicated that performance was not stable. Rather than shipping out a poor port, FromSoftware decided to give development extra time.<\/p>\n<p>The good news is that the extra work seems to have paid off. Following new hands-on sessions in March, there were reports that performance had improved. You can check out footage from the latest build <a href=\"https:\/\/nintendoeverything.com\/elden-rings-frame-rate-has-been-improved-on-nintendo-switch-2-new-footage\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Elden Ring Tarnished Edition will offer the base game plus the\u00a0Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Fans can also look forward to new armor, weapon,\u00a0 and customization features for Torrent\u2019s appearance.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Elden Ring Tarnished Edition will be available at retail as well as on the Nintendo eShop.<\/p>\n<p>Will you be picking up the port when it arrives in August?
