Two air ambulances have landed<\/p>\n

Police have been called to a ‘fight involving weapons’. They have closed The Strand, in Longton<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Yobs have been armed with metal bars and baseball bats.<\/p>\n

It comes as air ambulances have landed off Kendrick Street and Forrister Street this lunchtime. The alarm was raised at 11.45am today.<\/p>\n

A Staffordshire Police <\/a>spokesman said: “We are responding to a report of a fight involving weapons and have closed The Strand while we investigate. Officers were called following a report of a large group of people fighting in the area. Some of the men were described as holding metal bars and baseball bats. A cordon has been put in place and we\u2019re advising people to avoid the area.”<\/p>\n
