We\u2019re just two months away from Superman<\/a> hitting theaters\u2014and James Gunn\u2019s latest<\/a> isn\u2019t just an anticipated blockbuster from the guy who made Guardians of the Galaxy, it\u2019s the big-screen debut of DC Studios\u2019 new era under Gunn and Peter Safran. We finally have a full trailer that gives us our best look yet at this latest Man of Steel, as well as his allies (we already knew there\u2019s an adorable dog<\/a> in this, of course) and villainous foes.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Gunn teased<\/a> the trailer on social media as the \u201cfull trailer\u201d he\u2019d been \u201cwaiting too long to share.\u201d And indeed, we see Superman facing off with an array of baddies, including a giant scaly monster and several supervillains\u2014including, most intriguingly, a smirking Lex Luthor. He also stops a war and gets in trouble for it with the U.S. government, and gets grilled about it by the toughest journalist he knows: Lois Lane, who definitely knows Clark is Superman this time around.<\/p>\n

David Corenswet stars as Clark Kent\/Superman, with Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Edi Gathegi as Michael Holt\/Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Rex Mason\/Metamorpho, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner\/Green Lantern, and Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl.<\/p>\n

The rest of the cast includes Wendell Pierce as Perry White, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Pruitt Taylor Vince as Jonathan Kent, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., and frankly that\u2019s just scratching the surface of who\u2019s in this movie. Milly Alcock, set to star as Kara Zor-El in SC\u2019s June 2026 release Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, will also pop up at some point, though she doesn\u2019t appear in the trailer.<\/p>\n

Superman hits theaters July 11.<\/p>\n
