The Trump administration slashed theirs to 30 percent, while the Chinese side dropped their measures from 125 percent to 10 percent, for 90 days to allow for further negotiations.<\/p>\n<p>This week, Ambassador Zheng <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/52f7be1c-e708-4b01-b486-7f189a52c842\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">criticized Starmer\u2019s trade pact with Trump struck a week ago<\/a>, arguing it could force Chinese firms out of British supply chains. Nations like Britain should \u201csay no to any arrangement that would obstruct international exchanges and collaboration,\u201d the Chinese ambassador said Wednesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe must uphold true multilateralism. We must firmly oppose decoupling or the severing of the global industrial supply chain or such practices of the small yard, high fence,\u201d Zheng said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInternational sci-tech cooperation faces unprecedented challenges,\u201d Beijing\u2019s ambassador to London said.
