Grammy-winning songwriter Talay Riley \u2014 who worked on hits for Britney Spears, Dua Lipa, Khalid and more \u2014 was fatally stabbed this weekend in London.<\/p>\n
The family and management team of the 35-year-old, born Mark \u201cYinka\u201d Orabiyi, confirmed \u201cwith overwhelming sadness\u201d Saturday that he\u2019d \u201cpassed away\u201d<\/a> the morning prior.<\/p>\n \u201cTalay will fondly be remembered by those who knew him publicly for his incredible talent as a Grammy Award wining, multi platinum selling songwriter & artist,\u201d read the statement. \u201cFor those that knew and loved him personally it is his humor, generous spirit and unmistakable presence that will be missed the most.\u201d<\/p>\n Metropolitan Police on Sunday formally identified 35-year-old Riley, born Mark Orabiyi, as the victim of the Pankhurst Avenue stabbing<\/a> that occurred Friday morning. Another man, in his 20s, remains hospitalized with \u201cmultiple stab wounds,\u201d which are \u201cnot believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.\u201d<\/p>\n The police force previously said that Orabiyi had sustained stab wounds by the time they found him in the garden of a Rayleigh Road property.<\/p>\n \u201cDespite the efforts of paramedics, he was sadly pronounced dead on his arrival at hospital,\u201d Metropolitan Police said Friday.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is a tragic incident and my thoughts remain with Mark\u2019s family and loved ones,\u201d said Detective Chief Inspector Joanna Yorke, heading up the investigation.<\/p>\n Though the police announced Friday they\u2019d arrested a woman, 25, and two men \u2014 aged 27 and 24 \u2014 for suspected murder<\/a>, none remain in custody. The 27-year-old was released on bail \u201cpending further inquiries,\u201d with the other two \u201creleased with no further action.\u201d<\/p>\n Yorke requested that anyone near the scene of the stabbing at the time contact authorities, particularly if they have footage from the morning in question.<\/p>\n
