Liverpool are one of the Premier League clubs said to be in the race for Florian Wirtz this summer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Liverpool<\/a> have enjoyed a superb season in which they\u2019ve won the Premier League<\/a> title and they won\u2019t want to rest on their laurels.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Florian Wirtz<\/a> has gone from strength to strength at Bayer Leverkusen<\/a> and it looks as though this summer will see him make a big career move.<\/p>\n

Earlier today, it was reported that Liverpool had made contact with Wirtz\u2019s representatives<\/a> to discuss a potential summer move.<\/p>\n

Indeed, David Ornstein<\/a> has also corroborated this on The Athletic and on his X account.<\/p>\n

However, Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol<\/a> has now reported something entirely different about Liverpool and Wirtz.<\/p>\n

Kaveh Solhekol says Liverpool are not actively working on Florian Wirtz deal<\/p>\n

Solhekol has taken to X to claim that Liverpool are not actually working on a deal to sign Wirtz from Leverkusen as things stand.<\/p>\n

In addition, Solhekol reported that Liverpool did not meet Wirtz in England on Tuesday \u2013 but he said the Reds are indeed interested in him.<\/p>\n

\u2018As things stand the indications appear to be that he wants to remain in Germany \u2013 whether by staying at Bayer Leverkusen or moving to Bayern Munich\u2019, said Solhekol.<\/p>\n

\u2018Liverpool will continue to monitor the situation.\u2019<\/p>\n

Who Liverpool would be against in Florian Wirtz pursuit<\/p>\n

Liverpool are set to be up against some of the biggest clubs in the world in pursuit of Wirtz.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, TBR Football <\/strong>chief correspondent Graeme Bailey<\/a> confirmed that Real Madrid have joined\u00a0Manchester City\u00a0and Bayern Munich in the race for Wirtz<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Bayern had been confident of tying up a deal for Wirtz<\/a>, but the player is still considering his options \u2013 and his final decision will not come down to the size of the contract.<\/p>\n

Madrid have had talks with the Germany international\u2019s camp to confirm their ambition to land him.<\/p>\n

In addition, City sources have confirmed that they met with the Wirtz camp<\/a>, including his father Hans, this week.\u00a0<\/p>\n
