The announcements are being made at London Tech Week. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tCentral to the announcement is Eros\u2019s Large Cultural Model family \u2013 AI systems the company describes as trained specifically on Indian cinema rather than general-purpose data, drawing on approximately 1.5 trillion rights-cleared tokens from 11,000 films and 100,000 characters, and independently valued at $1.7 billion by OxValue.AI, in association with the University of Oxford. The company says the domain-specific training gives the models a depth of cultural, narrative and character understanding that general AI systems lack. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe announcement adds to a series of AI-driven projects from Eros, which has been in the news for its use of AI to reimagine titles in its catalogue, including an <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2025\/film\/news\/eros-aanand-l-rai-dispute-ai-altered-raanjhanaa-ending-1236470128\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">alternate-ending re-release of \u201cRaanjhanaa\u201d<\/a> \u2014 titled \u201cAmbikapathy\u201d in its Tamil-language version.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tUnder its Eros Remastered banner, the company will reimagine \u201cKochadaiiyaan\u201d \u2014 the first Indian motion capture film, originally produced by Eros and starring Rajinikanth \u2013 using its AI models, with Soundarya Rajinikanth returning to direct.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe Eros Brahmand trailer received its world premiere at the event, offering a first look at the company\u2019s mythological cinematic universe, a franchise built on ancient Indian mythology at global scale. The Brahmand slate includes nine productions: \u201cNandi \u2013 War of Kailasa,\u201d \u201cDwaarka: Gateway to the Universe,\u201d \u201cVimaan Wars,\u201d \u201cMahabharat 5000 A.D.,\u201d \u201cYakshinis,\u201d \u201cBrahmarakshak,\u201d \u201cGaruda,\u201d \u201cKumbhayanna,\u201d and \u201cMansa Devi.\u201d Each is being developed through a dedicated U.K. film production company.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tUnder its Eros Universe banner, the company is continuing six Indian film worlds as full franchise ecosystems spanning film, microdrama, animation and character-led content. The slate includes \u201cTanu Weds Manu \u2013 The Next Chapter,\u201d \u201cPhobia,\u201d \u201cEnglish Vinglish,\u201d \u201cDesi Boyz,\u201d \u201cRangeela\u201d and \u201cTere Naam.\u201d \u201cTanu Weds Manu \u2013 The Next Chapter\u201d will be directed by Mitakshara Kumar (\u201cHeeramandi,\u201d \u201cThe Empire\u201d) and co-produced with Rudrak Soma Jyoti Limited, with a new cast.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tTwo productions are confirmed to shoot in Britain in 2026: \u201cNandi \u2013 War of Kailasa\u201d and \u201cTanu Weds Manu \u2013 The Next Chapter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe $355.2 million commitment covers AI music studios in London, dedicated microdrama production, London-based animation, and U.K.-based model training and R&amp;D with British academic partnerships in development. The LCM family was first unveiled at the India AI Impact Summit in New Delhi in February this year. The voice layer, Eros LCVM, launched June 5, released by S. Krishnan, Secretary of India\u2019s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), which recognizes the initiative as a sovereign AI program. The research anchor is at Indian Institute of Technology Madras under Professor V.
