{"id":1020268,"date":"2026-06-11T18:27:19","date_gmt":"2026-06-11T18:27:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1020268\/"},"modified":"2026-06-11T18:27:19","modified_gmt":"2026-06-11T18:27:19","slug":"pixar-movie-gatto-drops-trailer-adds-mark-ruffalo-laurence-fishburne","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1020268\/","title":{"rendered":"Pixar Movie Gatto Drops Trailer, Adds Mark Ruffalo, Laurence Fishburne"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAfter the success of \u201cHoppers\u201d from earlier this year and a week before \u201cToy Story 5\u201d hits theaters, Pixar is revealing its next animated movie, titled \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/gatto\/\" id=\"auto-tag_gatto\" data-tag=\"gatto\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Gatto<\/a>.\u201d It will star <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/mark-ruffalo\/\" id=\"auto-tag_mark-ruffalo\" data-tag=\"mark-ruffalo\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mark Ruffalo<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/laurence-fishburne\/\" id=\"auto-tag_laurence-fishburne\" data-tag=\"laurence-fishburne\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Laurence Fishburne<\/a> as two cats prowling around Italy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tRuffalo will voice Nero, a scrappy black cat, and Fishburne will play Rocco, a ruthless cat mob boss.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cIn \u2018Gatto,\u2019 after years of maneuvering the canal-ridden, superstitious city of Venice, Italy, Nero begins to question whether he\u2019s lived the right lives,\u201d the logline teases. \u201cIndebted to Rocco, the local feline mob boss, Nero finds himself in a quandary and is forced to forge a truly unexpected friendship that may finally lead him to his purpose\u2014unless Venice gets the better of him first.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe teaser trailer shows a gang of cats hanging out on a rooftop, with one flicking its claws like a mobster would a knife. The scene moves inside the shadowy building, where Nero and Rocco interrogate a fellow feline about missing tuna. The three cats quickly get distracted, though, by the dangling, bright lightbulb and string hanging above them. They begin pawing at the light and fighting each other over it, until Rocco chomps down and shatters the bulb.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cGatto\u201d looks to continue Pixar\u2019s hot streak after \u201cHoppers\u201d and last year\u2019s \u201cInside Out 2,\u201d which hit nearly $1.7 billion at the global box office.
