{"id":1020398,"date":"2026-06-11T19:56:15","date_gmt":"2026-06-11T19:56:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1020398\/"},"modified":"2026-06-11T19:56:15","modified_gmt":"2026-06-11T19:56:15","slug":"jennifer-lawrence-to-star-in-rom-com-one-month-mark","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1020398\/","title":{"rendered":"Jennifer Lawrence to Star in Rom-Com One Month Mark"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tComing on top of a competitive situation, Apple Original Films has picked One Month Mark, a romantic comedy that has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/jennifer-lawrence\/\" id=\"auto-tag_jennifer-lawrence_1\" data-tag=\"jennifer-lawrence\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jennifer Lawrence<\/a> attached to star and produce.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tPlaywright-writer-director Sophie Fleur de Bruijn wrote the spec script, which saw a chase ensue to land it by producers and studios.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tDavid Ready and Peter Chernin of Chernin Entertainment, one of the companies behind horror hit Backrooms, are producing along with Lawrence, who is producing via her Excellent Cadaver banner, as well as Lawrence\u2019s producing\u00a0partner\u00a0Justine Ciarrocchi. De Bruijn will executive produce.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe logline, such as it is, reads thus: \u201cShe has never made it past a month in a relationship. He has never gone longer than a month without one.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe project does not have a director but a search for one is already underway. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThis is de\u00a0Bruijn\u2019s second collaboration with Apple, following Early Action, a spec comedy that the company bought last year. She honed comedy chops at iO and The Upright Citizens Brigade, and is also graduate of the Second City Conservatory. On her website, she says she has a \u201cpassion for crafting high energy, emotionally grounded comedies that center on unruly women and girls.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tOne Month Mark is now the fourth Lawrence project for Apple. She recently wrapped What Happens at Night, Martin Scorsese\u2019s drama that also stars Leonardo DiCaprio. She starred and produced the 2022 drama Causeway for the company and producer on the Peabody Award-winning Apple Original 2023 documentary Bread &amp; Roses, which told of women in Afghanistan living under the Taliban rule.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tBrady Fujikawa, exec vp of Chernin Entertainment, will executive produce and oversee for Chernin. Chernin is enjoying a banner year as, in addition to Backrooms, it released Charlize Theron\u2019s Netflix hit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/apex\/\" id=\"auto-tag_apex_1\" data-tag=\"apex\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Apex<\/a> as well as the TV adaptation of Man on Fire.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tLawrence is represented by LBI Entertainment and Hansen, Jacobson.
