Viking<\/strong> has taken delivery of its two newest river ships, the Viking Annar and Viking Fjolvar, both built at Meyer\u2019s Neptun Werft shipyard in Rostock-Warnem\u00fcnde, Germany. Viking Annar\u00a0will sail Viking\u2019s itineraries on the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers, while Viking Fjolvar\u00a0will sail on the Seine River.<\/p>\n

With a capacity of 190 guests in 95 staterooms, Viking Annar\u00a0is built specifically to navigate the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers. As a Viking Longship, the vessel features elegant Scandinavian design and the industry-leading innovations for which Viking is known, such as a patented square bow that allows the ship to have three full decks and an indoor\/outdoor Aquavit Terrace, as well as asymmetric corridors that enable Viking to offer true two-room suites.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Viking Annar\u00a0will sail itineraries that include\u00a0Rhine Getaway<\/a>,\u00a0Grand European Tour<\/a>,\u00a0Passage to Eastern Europe<\/a>,\u00a0European Sojourn<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Christmas on the Rhine<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hosting 168 guests in 84 staterooms, Viking Fjolvar\u00a0is built specifically to navigate the Seine River and dock at Viking\u2019s exclusive docking location in the heart of Paris. The vessel features the same design elements as Viking Longships and will sail roundtrip from Paris on Seine River itineraries that include\u00a0Paris & the Heart of Normandy<\/a>\u00a0and the new\u00a0Christmastime in Paris & Normandy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Based on Viking\u2019s committed orderbook, the company expects to take delivery of 22 additional river ships by 2028, nine additional ocean ships by 2031 and two additional expedition ships by 2031.
