Two decades later, a chance encounter forces them to confront a past they thought long buried, as old wounds and unresolved tensions resurface.

Told through a non-linear narrative, Overtone explores how relationships are influenced by early experiences, power dynamics and blurred boundaries. As past and present collide, the play delves into the complexities of long-term partnerships, questioning whether it is ever truly possible to escape the forces that first shaped us.

&nbsp
&nbsp

&nbsp
&nbsp

Balancing emotional depth with sharp insight, the production examines what a ‘healthy’ relationship looks like and how truth and honesty can emerge from confronting difficult histories.

With an accomplished creative team led by director John Hoggarth, Overtone continues The North Wall’s tradition of producing bold and thought-provoking new work at the Fringe.

Overtone runs at Pleasance Dome (Jack Dome) from 5 – 30 August at 14:40.
