Pop superstar Olivia Rodrigo has revealed how she spent a day eating sausage rolls and drinking wine in Wales. The 23-year-old stunned supermarket staff at M&S and caused a stir when she she rocked up in Llandudno.<\/p>\n
And the singer has now revealed that because of a credit card issue she could only buy two things on her trip to Wales.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Jordan North on Capital Radio she described how she fell in love with one particular British dish, the sausage roll.<\/p>\n
” I was in this tiny little town called Llandudno<\/a>,” she said. “I had a credit card that didn’t work in any place that wasn’t America, and nobody took it and I had no food at the hotel. I was just wandering around Wales and I couldn’t find anything to eat, and then my card worked in a place that served sausage rolls, so I just ate sausage rolls for a whole day.”<\/p>\n The interviewer replied: “Oh, that’s such a like core memory of a sausage roll.”<\/p>\n Olivia continued: “Then I think like a pub took my card too, so I had like sausage rolls and like white wine. That’s like all I had that day. Kind of cool. Looking back kind of a great memory.”<\/p>\n Jordan added: “Quite chic. White wine and sausage rolls.”<\/p>\n Olivia said: “I mean, it’s a balanced meal.”<\/p>\n Content cannot be displayed without consent<\/p>\n Llandudno M&S even captured the day out two years ago with a post on their Facebook<\/a> page that said: “Olivia Rodrigo visiting our store was not on our 2024 bingo card.”<\/p>\n
