As soon as the eagle landed, he was electrocuted. He momentarily lost mobility, stumbling off the wires and landing on the gravel road below.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/1781366181_237_scale;webp=auto;jpeg_quality=60.jpg\"  alt=\"eagle on gravel road \" width=\"792\" height=\"948\" style=\"display:block;height:auto;aspect-ratio:792 \/ 948\" loading=\"lazy\"\/>Logan Township Police Department<\/p>\n<p data-element-index=\"0\">Luckily, a group of construction workers nearby spotted the eagle and called the Logan Township Police Department for help.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/1781366182_746_scale;webp=auto;jpeg_quality=60.jpg\"  alt=\"eagle on gravel road \" width=\"792\" height=\"752\" style=\"display:block;height:auto;aspect-ratio:792 \/ 752\" loading=\"lazy\"\/>Logan Township Police Department<\/p>\n<p data-element-index=\"0\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pa.gov\/agencies\/pgc\/wildlife\/discover-pa-wildlife\/bald-eagles#accordion-bdcc893015-item-f29ae684e6\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">According to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania website<\/a>, bald eagles were once considered rare in the state, their numbers having dwindled due to hunting and the use of dangerous pesticides. Thankfully, conservation efforts in recent decades, including the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act and the Migratory Bird Protection Treaty Act, have helped revive these majestic birds, and today they can be found all across the area.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/1781366183_68_scale;webp=auto;jpeg_quality=60.jpg\"  alt=\"police officer holding eagle \" width=\"792\" height=\"952\" style=\"display:block;height:auto;aspect-ratio:792 \/ 952\" loading=\"lazy\"\/>Logan Township Police Department<\/p>\n<p data-element-index=\"0\">Officers carefully approached the eagle. The wild bird tried to get away but couldn\u2019t move very far.<\/p>\n<p data-element-index=\"1\">\u201cHe could not fly,\u201d Corporal Shea Stayer told The Dodo. \u201cBut he could walk.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-element-index=\"2\">Rescuers called the game commission for backup. When the animal experts arrived, they used a net to secure the eagle.
