{"id":102613,"date":"2025-05-15T04:43:08","date_gmt":"2025-05-15T04:43:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/102613\/"},"modified":"2025-05-15T04:43:08","modified_gmt":"2025-05-15T04:43:08","slug":"microsoft-starts-testing-hey-copilot-in-windows","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/102613\/","title":{"rendered":"Microsoft starts testing\u00a0 \u2018Hey, Copilot!\u2019 in Windows"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">Microsoft is testing a feature for Copilot Voice that will let Windows 11 users start a conversation with the app by saying \u201cHey Copilot!\u201d Windows Insiders who have the updated app can try it out once they opt in and activate the feature.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.windows.com\/windows-insider\/2025\/05\/14\/copilot-on-windows-hey-copilot-begins-rolling-out-to-windows-insiders\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">According to a blog post<\/a>, you\u2019ll need to enable the feature for it to be able to respond to the wake word. Also, the update isn\u2019t available to all Insiders right away, but it is rolling out to testers worldwide who have English set as their display language. To find out if you have it, check your Copilot app version to see if it\u2019s 1.25051.10.0 or higher.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">Once it\u2019s activated, you\u2019ll see the Copilot microphone floating UI on the bottom of your screen and get a chime notification that shows it\u2019s listening in. <\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">The FAQ also says that it\u2019s using an on-device wake word spotter with a 10-second audio buffer, and isn\u2019t sending clips to the cloud or saving them locally.
