Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald are back on tour and so is their 2009 show, The Circus.<\/p>\n
The two-hour extravaganza or circus performance, dancing and singing includes everything from trapeze artists, tight-rope walkers and of course that magical 30ft animatronic elephant that walks through the crowds during the band’s performance of The Garden.<\/p>\n
Calling at the Principality Stadium in the Welsh capital on June 16, <\/strong>there’s loads of information here about the gig and coming to Cardiff on the day.<\/p>\n First touring in 2009, The Circus show wowed fans of the band, who were massive in the 1990s before breaking up and then being even more successful when they reunited in 2006.<\/p>\n For latest on Take That tickets for The Circus Live, click here<\/a>. From superstar gigs to cosy pubs, find out What\u2019s On in Wales by signing up to our newsletter here<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n And for more on the travel advice – including road closures, park and rides, train and bus travel, for the June dates, scroll down.<\/p>\n Key timings and support<\/p>\n Stage times are subject to change and will be updated as soon as possible.<\/strong><\/p>\n The impressive set and performance brings back to life the 2009 tour(Image: Gareth Cattermole\/Getty Images for Take That)<\/p>\n Set list<\/p>\n This is the set list from the latest show (Sunderland) at time of writing:<\/p>\n ENCORE<\/p>\n Guest singers<\/p>\n Former Pop Idol star Zoe Birkett, now a West End star, has confirmed to fans she is behind a magical moment at the pinnacle of the show.<\/p>\n Zoe has been joining the band on stage each night of the tour to sing the famous “Lulu bit” of Relight My Fire, as her voice booms out of the big puppet.<\/p>\n Zoe, who won rave reviews playing Tina Turner in the West End Tina musical, confirmed the news to delighted fans by sharing a video of her voicing the giant puppet on social media. She wrote on Facebook<\/a>: “I don’t just sing it….. Simply fill out the Designated Driver form within the Principality Stadium fan guide.Fans arriving early can explore a variety of food trucks and bars across the stadium plazas, serving everything from steak from local vendor, Fire and Flank, tacos and burritos to Greek street food, burgers, coffee and cocktails.The ever-popular Pitch Side Bar will also be open, giving fans the chance to soak up the atmosphere before Take That take to the stage.<\/p>\n More details and a map of the food spots, here:<\/p>\n The stadium map<\/p>\n Bag Policy<\/p>\n While the stadium advises it’s better not to bring a bag at all, you will be permitted to take small bags and handbags in with you. Small bags are classed as no larger than 35cm x 40cm x 19cm or standard handbags. There are no bag storage facilities available at the stadium.<\/p>\n Large bags are not permitted.<\/p>\n Banned items<\/p>\n Road closures<\/strong><\/p>\n From 7am, Scott Road and Park Street will be closed because of the need to prepare Gate 5 and protect queuing fans.<\/p>\n For all the concerts, the following roads will be closed as part of the full city centre road closure which will take place at 3pm until midnight.<\/p>\n Additions: <\/strong>Civic Centre: Access to part of the Civic Centre will be controlled throughout the day, with access allowed only for event parking, limited commuter parking, loading and access to private car parks.<\/p>\n Roads affected include King Edward VII Avenue, Museum Avenue, City Hall Road, College Road and Gorsedd Gardens Road.<\/p>\n Trains<\/strong><\/p>\n Great Western Railway (GWR)<\/strong><\/p>\n GWR will run additional services to help customers get home after the summer concerts. Extra trains will operate from Cardiff<\/a> Central to Swansea<\/a>, Newport<\/a>, Bristol and Swindon, with plenty of parking available at station car parks.<\/p>\n Trains are, however, expected to be very busy immediately after the concerts and a queueing system will be in place outside the station to help people board trains safely.<\/p>\n Those travelling from further afield should check connecting services, and the time of their last train home, at www.gwr.com\/check<\/a><\/p>\n Transport for Wales (TfW)<\/strong> will provide additional capacity where possible on routes to and from Cardiff for the Take That and Metallica concerts. Passengers are encouraged to plan ahead and allow plenty of time for their journey.<\/p>\n A full queuing system will be in place with passengers travelling to the Valleys or the Vale of Glamorgan directed to Cardiff Queen Street station after the event. All other queues including Ebbw Vale<\/a> and Maesteg<\/a> will be at Cardiff Central station.<\/p>\n Queuing will start from 9.45pm at both stations with the accessibility queue available at Cardiff Central.<\/p>\n Cardiff Bus Interchange will close in line with road closures and car park closures will also be in place at Cardiff Central station. More information available here: Events | Transport for Wales<\/a><\/p>\n Pre and post-event revenue checks will take place at both stations and passengers should purchase their rail ticket before entering a queuing system.<\/p>\n A reminder that pay as you go is currently available on TfW and Cross-Country services across the South Wales Metro network (Not available on Great Western Railway [GWR] services).<\/p>\n Passengers using pay as you go payment method should tap in at their departure station and then tap out using same payment method via the dedicated pay as you go revenue lanes when exiting at Cardiff Central. Transport for Wales volunteers will be available to assist with tapping in and out.<\/p>\n Park & Ride facilities<\/strong><\/p>\n Take That:<\/strong> Tuesday, June 16. The park & ride facility for this event will be at Cardiff City Stadium at Leckwith – CF11 8AZ and can be accessed from junction 33 off the M4<\/a>, by taking the A4232 towards Cardiff\/Barry<\/a>. Exit the A4232 onto the B4267, signposted Cardiff City Stadium.<\/p>\n The drop off point will be at Fitzhammon Embankment.<\/p>\n Staff will arrive at the car park at 10am when the site opens, with the first bus leaving at 10.30am and the last bus departing (Fitzhammon Embankment) at midnight.<\/p>\n The cost is \u00a315 for each car payable on the day.<\/p>\n Civic Centre Event Day Parking <\/strong>(Cars and Coaches)<\/strong><\/p>\n Getting there: Exit Junction 32 of the M4, head south on the A470 towards the city centre and follow signage to the civic centre.<\/p>\n Cost: \u00a320 payable on the day for cars and \u00a330 for coaches \u2013 card payments are also now available.<\/p>\n Parking time: The car park will open at 8am and closes at 12 Midnight.<\/p>\n Event Day Parking at Sophia Gardens<\/strong><\/p>\n Sophia Gardens (cars)<\/p>\n (Approximately, 0.5 mile walk to the Principality Stadium, Gate 2).<\/p>\n Sophia Gardens Event Day Parking<\/p>\n Getting there: Exit junction 32 off the M4<\/p>\n Cost: \u00a320 for cars and \u00a330 for coaches \u2013 card payments are now available.<\/p>\n Parking time: Car park opens at 8.00am and closes at 12 midnight.<\/p>\n Please note: Sophia Gardens car park will be staffed until 7pm and all vehicles are left on site at the owner’s risk. Cardiff Council<\/a> will not be held responsible for any theft or damage to motor vehicles or personal possessions. Any vehicles left in the car park after closing time will be fined.<\/p>\n Bus<\/strong><\/p>\n Local buses:<\/strong><\/p>\n Bus services will be diverted while the city centre road closures are in place<\/p>\n Please visit the relevant bus operator’s website for more information about your specific bus routes.<\/p>\n For Stagecoach services, please visit: Welcome to Stagecoach (stagecoachbus.com)<\/a><\/p>\n For Cardiff Bus services, please visit: https:\/\/www.cardiffbus.com\/principality-stadium<\/a><\/p>\n For NAT services, please visit: https:\/\/www.natgroup.co.uk\/<\/a><\/p>\n National Express:<\/strong> <\/strong>National Express coaches will use Sophia Gardens as usual.<\/p>\n Can you cycle or walk?<\/strong><\/p>\n The cycleways and the pop-up cycleways within the road closure area will remain open for cyclists to use during the events, but due to the number of people expected to attend these concerts, we ask all cyclists to take due care and attention.<\/p>\n The road closures apply to all motor vehicles of any kind, but not to bicycles with pedals.<\/p>\n Those who live locally in Cardiff may want to travel by bicycle or walk. Research shows us that 52% of car trips made in the Welsh capital are less than 5km. This is a distance that can be comfortably cycled in 20 minutes.<\/p>\n We also know that 28% of Cardiff residents who currently do not cycle would like to do so.<\/p>\n When the roads are congested this makes cycling an even more attractive option as travel by bicycle would be quicker than a car during rush hours or during big events.<\/p>\n Shopping parking<\/strong><\/p>\n City centre car parks are also available: North Road Car Parks, St David’s Shopping Centre, John Lewis, Capitol Shopping Centre, and NCP (Adam Street, Dumfries Place and Greyfriars Road).<\/p>\n Disabled parking<\/strong><\/p>\n Disabled drivers are advised to use Sophia Gardens.
