The measures, expected to take effect in early 2027, will also include restrictions on some game platforms and livestreaming apps.<\/p>\n<dl class=\"css-p98d0w\">\n<dt class=\"css-xx7kwh\"\/>\n<dd class=\"css-4gvq6l\">\n<p class=\"css-8hvvyd\">I always prefer the politics of partnership. And I fundamentally believe that we must harness the power of technology to build a stronger, fairer Britain. But we must also protect our children. I am not prepared to compromise on the safety and happiness of our children, and that is why this ban must happen. And that is why this ban will happen. I didn\u2019t think it would actually happen. I kind of believed that he\u2019d chicken out of it and give it more time or more consideration. But he seems pretty sure of it, and I\u2019m not sure if I agree with him. I didn\u2019t \u2014 I thought he\u2019d give it more time to think about it and the effects it would have.
