Shares of Foot Locker<\/a> surged more than 80% in premarket trading as the retailer and Dick’s Sporting Goods<\/a> announced a takeover deal<\/a>. The announcement confirms a previous report by the Wall Street Journal<\/a>. <\/p>\n The acquisition will involve Dick’s paying $24 per share in cash for the smaller company, the companies said.
