The family of a woman allegedly murdered at a property in Monmouthshire<\/a> earlier this month have said they are “devastated”. Caroline Jones, 52, was found dead by police at an address at Green Lane, Caldicot, on Thursday, June 4.<\/p>\n A murder investigation has since been launched and a 50-year-old man from Caldicot, who was known to Ms Jones, was arrested on suspicion of murder.<\/p>\n He has since been detained under the Mental Health Act, a spokesperson for Gwent Police<\/a> confirmed in a statement published on Thursday, June 18.<\/p>\n In a brief statement Ms Jones’ family said they are “devastated” at her death and have asked for privacy. They said: \u201cAs a family we are devastated by the loss of Caroline and how her life was cut tragically short. We ask for privacy and respect at this difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n A police spokesperson added: “Enquiries are ongoing into Caroline\u2019s death.
