Tragedy struck at a Weston-super-Mare gym where an individual has tragically lost their life.<\/p>\n

The incident unfolded at the PureGym located in Gallagher Retail Park on the morning of Wednesday, May 14, prompting emergency services to rush to the scene.<\/p>\n

Staff and fellow gym-goers quickly attempted to provide immediate aid to the victim.<\/p>\n

Despite the rapid response and paramedics’ attempts to save the individual, they were pronounced dead at the location.<\/p>\n

Following the distressing event, the gym was temporarily shut down yesterday morning but has now been confirmed to be back in operation, Bristol Live<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n

Curious onlookers at the time were left asking: “Why is PureGym shut and when will it open”.<\/p>\n

In a statement, a spokesperson for PureGym disclosed: “We can confirm that very sadly a member died at PureGym Weston-Super-Mare yesterday morning.”<\/p>\n

They added: “Our gym team and other members promptly assisted the individual, using our emergency red help point to call for further assistance.<\/p>\n

“Paramedics arrived swiftly, but despite their best efforts the member sadly passed away.<\/p>\n
