Published: <\/strong>Thursday, 18th June 2026<\/p>\n People in Birmingham are being invited to share their experiences of the Library of Birmingham to help ensure that the library continues to reach its full potential with the best offer for communities<\/p>\n As Europe\u2019s largest regional library, it has welcomed more than one million visitors each year since opening in September 2013 and offers a wide range of services, from learning and research resource to cultural events and community activities.<\/p>\n To help shape the library\u2019s future and ensure it continues to support all of Birmingham\u2019s communities, Birmingham City Council wants to hear about people\u2019s experiences through an online survey. The survey closes on\u00a0Sunday 28th\u00a0June.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n Councillor Deborah Harries, Cabinet Member for Culture and Heritage, said:<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cSince opening more than a decade ago, the Library of Birmingham has become an iconic Birmingham landmark, offering a range of services for our residents and playing an important role in our city as a place dedicated to learning, creativity and knowledge.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want to make sure the library continues to\u00a0reach its full potential and meet the needs of our residents and visitors, so it is so important we hear directly from those who use it, and also from those who don’t access its services regularly.<\/p>\n
“I’d like to encourage as many people as possible to take part in this short online survey, as the feedback will be important in helping us shape this important service into the next decade and beyond.”<\/p>\n
