One of the biggest jobs for the Liverpool<\/a> recruitment team is to find Arne Slot<\/a> a brand new number nine.<\/p>\n

Darwin Nunez is ready to leave<\/a> in the coming months having failed to progress across three seasons at Anfield<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Alexander Isak is a top target for Liverpool<\/a>, but with the Swede looking more likely to stay at Newcastle, Slot may yet have to find a more realistic alternative.<\/p>\n

Money is not expected to be a problem for the Liverpool owners<\/a> this summer and as they ponder the right addition, Brighton\u2019s Joao Pedro<\/a> is now said to be back on the radar.<\/p>\n

Pedro has been linked with Liverpool previously<\/a>. However, chatter over the 23-year-old\u2019s potential arrival has died down more recently.<\/p>\n

According to The Telegraph<\/a>, though, the Reds are still firmly in the mix for Pedro\u2019s signing.<\/p>\n

They claim that with each club looking for a new forward this summer, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal are all \u2018showing interest\u2019 in the Brazilian.<\/p>\n

With \u2018industry insiders\u2019 predicting a busy summer for strikers, Pedro is said to be one of the players who could benefit and bag himself a big move.<\/p>\n

From a Liverpool point of view, Slot will reportedly be handed \u2018one of the club\u2019s biggest ever transfer budgets\u2019 with an emphasis on finding a new striker.<\/p>\n

Pedro could seemingly come into consideration, although it\u2019s claimed that Brighton will demand far in excess of the \u00a330m<\/a> they paid for the Brazilian international in 2023 to let him leave.<\/p>\n

Pedro is not the answer for Liverpool<\/p>\n

The Seagulls are also notoriously difficult negotiators and as they look to tie deals up quickly ahead of the new season, Liverpool do not need to be getting embroiled in a lengthy saga.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, there are plenty of more prolific options out there other than Pedro this summer.<\/p>\n
