Pearl\u00a0Jam<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0Eddie Vedder<\/a>\u00a0has shared an inspirational new single \u2018Better Believe\u2019 \u2013\u00a0check\u00a0it out below.<\/p>\n

The singer has made the song alongside the Chicago-based Guitars Over Guns, a non-profit organisation that uses music to support young people, pairing students with professional musicians and artists.<\/p>\n

Vedder wrote \u2018Better Believe\u2019 alongside\u00a0a number of\u00a0audio arts students from Columbia College Chicago, and recorded it at the college with the students, with all royalties earned to\u00a0benefit\u00a0Guitars Over Guns.<\/p>\n

The slow-burning song features an anthemic, rousing chorus comprising all of the musicians involved, with Vedder\u2019s distinctive vocals taking the lead.<\/p>\n

The song also received its live debut at\u00a0the opening ceremony of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago yesterday<\/a>\u00a0(June 18), with Vedder appearing alongside the students from Guitars Over Guns.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

A host of other big names were on hand at the opening of the Obama Presidential Center, including Bruce Springsteen, Bono, Stevie Wonder, Christina\u00a0Aguilera\u00a0and Jennifer Hudson<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As for Vedder, it\u00a0emerged\u00a0earlier this year that\u00a0he might be working on music with Yungblud<\/a>, after they met at a lavish corporate Christmas party last year<\/a>.\u00a0Afterwards, Yungblud was quoted as saying:\u00a0\u201cEddie\u2019s such an inspiration to me, especially vocally. I think we might write together in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pearl Jam\u2019s latest album \u2018Dark Matter\u2019 arrived in spring 2024, and was\u00a0given a glowing four-star review<\/a>, with\u00a0NME\u00a0praising it as \u201csome of their strongest work in recent memory\u201d.<\/p>\n
