In 2021, Tommy Wirkola<\/strong>\u00a0(Violent Night,\u00a0Dead Snow) delivered a delightfully deranged and bloody comedic thriller in\u00a0The Trip<\/a><\/strong>, and a new take on the film is now on the way.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s titled Over Your Dead Body<\/strong>, with Samara Weaving<\/strong> and Jason Segel<\/strong> starring!<\/p>\n

Independent Film Company announced today that they have acquired the U.S. rights to Over Your Dead Body, directed by \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d alumnus and Lonely Island member Jorma Taccone<\/strong> (Pop Star: Never Stop Stopping, MacGruber).<\/p>\n

The film, adapted by Nick Kocher<\/strong> and Brian McElhaney<\/strong> from the acclaimed Norwegian cult thriller, I Onde Dager, features an all-star lineup including Timothy Olyphant, Juliette Lewis, Paul Guilfoyle<\/strong>, and Keith Jardine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Independent Film Company is set to release the film wide theatrically.<\/p>\n

Over Your Dead Body follows a dysfunctional couple (Segel and Weaving) who head to a remote cabin to supposedly reconnect, but each has secret plans to kill the other.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Over Your Dead Body is produced by 87North\u2019s Kelly McCormick and David Leitch (The Fall Guy, Bullet Train, Nobody franchise); XYZ Films\u2019 Guy Danella (Violent Night, Love Hurts), Nick Spicer, Aram Tertzakian; and Resolute Films\u2019 Lee Kim (Dual, Get Away).
