Sam Bell has put pen to paper on a new three-year deal, extending his stay at Bristol City until the summer of 2029.\u00a0<\/p>\n
A product of City\u2019s academy, the Nailsea-born forward has been at the club since the age of 12 and has 118 appearances to his name.\u00a0<\/p>\n
At 18 years old, Bell made his debut against Birmingham City in December 2020, while early loan spells at Clevedon Town, Yate Town and Grimsby Town formed a key part of his development.<\/p>\n
The academy graduate bagged his first goal in January 2023, scoring a memorable extra-time winner over Swansea City in the Emirates FA Cup Third Round Replay before adding a further five goals to his tally for the 2022\/23 season.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In November 2023, Bell earned a well-deserved call up to the England Elite League squad, making two appearances against Italy and Germany.<\/p>\n
Last season, the 24-year-old enjoyed a positive loan to League One\u2019s Wycombe Wanderers, where he made 21 appearances, scoring six goals and providing two assists before being recalled in January.\u00a0<\/p>\n
On his return to the West Country earlier this year, Bell bagged four goals in City\u2019s final four fixtures under Interim Head Coach Roy Hodgson. \u00a0<\/p>\n
On signing fresh terms, Bell said: \u201cI\u2019m very happy to have got the deal done. I spoke to James [Ellis] first and he explained to me the desire to keep me at the club. I also had a good talk with the new manager and everything he said fit me perfectly and he is a big part of the reason I wanted to stay here so much.\u201d<\/p>\n
After his impressive end to the 2025\/26 campaign, Bell added, \u201cIt gives me positivity coming into this new year and I\u2019d like to kick off where I left off.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Manager Michael Skubala said: \u201cWe\u2019re delighted to secure Sam\u2019s talents until 2029. We are excited to continue working with him and seeing him continue to grow in a City shirt.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
