Home heating oil prices in Northern Ireland are at their lowest since the start of the Iran war four months ago, new figures show.<\/p>\n
The Consumer Council’s Home Heating Oil Price Checker<\/a>, which is updated each Thursday, shows the average price for 300 litres of home heating oil is currently \u00a3238.30. This has decreased from \u00a3255.80 last week, and an average of \u00a3382.97 at the beginning of April.<\/p>\n The average cost of 500 litres of heating oil is currently \u00a3380.96, down from a high of \u00a3612.37 on April 9. Currently, 900 litres is costing on average \u00a3677.16, down from a high of \u00a31,088.71 two months ago.<\/p>\n Across Northern Ireland<\/a>, average prices for home heating oil vary depending on location. The Mid & East Antrim<\/a> area is currently the cheapest spot to purchase 300 litres of oil, at an average of \u00a3236.01, \u00a32.29 below average.<\/p>\n Ards & North Down<\/a> is the cheapest location to buy both 500 and 900 litres at the minute, at \u00a3374.97, \u00a35.99 below average for the former, and \u00a3666.50, \u00a310.66 below average for the latter.<\/p>\n Armagh, Banbridge & Craigavon <\/a>is the most expensive area to buy 300 litres this week, \u00a33.19 above average at \u00a3241.49.
