Ruben Amorim believes Manchester United deserve to be higher in the Premier League.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Although Ruben Amorim<\/a> is guilty of rotating his side for Premier League<\/a> matches in recent weeks, the United head coach<\/a> believes the team deserves to be higher than 16th in the league table.<\/p>\n

The only saving grace for United has been their Europa League<\/a> campaign after going the entire campaign unbeaten ahead of next week\u2019s final.<\/p>\n

United will face Tottenham in the final and that is set to take the focus over the team\u2019s trip to Stamford Bridge on Friday.<\/p>\n

Chelsea are still hoping to clinch one of the top four spots, which would secure Champions League<\/a> football for next season. The only way United can achieve that is by winning the Europa League, meaning they only have pride to play for against the Blues.<\/p>\n

United head coach Amorim believes United deserve to be higher than 16th in the Premier League table \u2013 but admits to being reluctant over his view as people would think he is \u2018crazy\u2019.<\/p>\n

Although that didn\u2019t stop Amorim from expressing those beliefs when he spoke to the media on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Amorim pointed to the statistics, particularly in front of goal, showing that United should be winning more games and higher up the table.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s something he will have to wait until next season to prove.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is hard to talk about that without looking like a crazy guy, but if you see the XG, for example, in the last few games, ours is bigger,\u201d Amorim told reporters.<\/p>\n

\u201cAgainst Wolves, we are so near and they score a set-piece. That was the first time they reached our goal and they score and we had our opportunities, especially in the second half.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can understand that but it is hard to talk about that in this moment. Let\u2019s focus on finishing in a good way and then we will prepare the future at the end of the season.\u201d<\/p>\n

Best way to prepare for Europa League final<\/p>\n

Amorim has urged his United players to finish the season strongly by winning their remaining league games against Chelsea and Aston Villa.<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cThe best way is to face the game like we should face the game: it is to win the game. We need to perform, we need to win points in Premier League and that is the feeling.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe talk about that after West Ham. We need to improve in the way we face competitions. Stay focused in every moment of the game because against West Ham we had clear situations to score. From West Ham\u2019s first opportunity, they score one goal so these small details matter.<\/p>\n
