A woman has sadly died after emergency services descended on a park in south Manchester.<\/p>\n

A large emergency response was scrambled to Didsbury Park off Wilmslow<\/a> Road at around 6.15pm on Sunday (June 21). Police were called over ‘reports of a concern for welfare’, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police<\/a> said.<\/p>\n

Several ambulance vehicles were also pictured on the scene. The air ambulance also reportedly landed amid the incident.<\/p>\n

The GMP spokesperson said the woman, aged in her 20s, was found unresponsive. She was rushed to hospital where she sadly died.<\/p>\n

Enquiries are now underway ‘to establish the full details’. No further details about the woman have been released at this stage.<\/p>\n

In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: “Officers responded to an incident at Didsbury<\/a> Park, Manchester at around 6:15pm on Sunday 21 June following reports of a concern for welfare. One woman, aged in her 20s, was found unresponsive.<\/p>\n

“She was taken to hospital where, despite best efforts of medical staff, she sadly died.
