As Coronation Street<\/a>\u2019s \u2018whoisit\u2019 turned into a \u2018whodunnit\u2019, we were left with one big question: who killed Theo Silverton?\u00a0(James Cartwright)<\/a><\/p>\n It was a tough case to crack for the cobbles coppers, Lisa Connor-Swain<\/a>\u00a0(Vicky Myers<\/a>) and\u00a0Kit Green<\/a>\u00a0(Jacob Roberts<\/a>), with half of the street wanting Theo dead.<\/p>\n The \u2018official\u2019 suspect line up was vast: Todd Grimshaw<\/a> (Gareth Pierce<\/a>), the victim of months of extreme levels of brutality and abuse, Summer Spellman<\/a>\u00a0(Harriet Bibby<\/a>), the adoptive daughter of Billy Mayhew<\/a>\u00a0(Daniel Brocklebank<\/a>), who Theo had killed<\/a>, Danielle Silverton (Natalie Anderson)<\/a>, Theo\u2019s embittered ex-wife, George Shuttleworth<\/a>\u00a0(Tony Maudsley<\/a>), Todd\u2019s father figure<\/a>, Christina Boyd<\/a>\u00a0(Amy Robbins<\/a>), George\u2019s girlfriend and Gary Windass<\/a>\u00a0(Mikey North<\/a>), Theo\u2019s best friend turned bitter enemy.<\/p>\n In the weeks since the beastly builder was finally bashed over the head and sent to the graveyard of soap baddies, Summer had a spell behind bars, with the police thinking they\u2019d found their perp. When Tyrone Dobbs<\/a> (Alan Halsall<\/a>) finally provided her an alibi, though, the case was again blown wide open.<\/p>\n Gary and Sarah Platt<\/a>\u00a0(Tina O\u2019Brien<\/a>) had clearly been hiding something, with their respective partners, Maria Connor<\/a>\u00a0(Samia Longchambon<\/a>) and Kit believing that they were, in fact, concealing an affair. <\/p>\n They weren\u2019t, though. They were scrambling to cover the fact that it was, in fact, Sarah, Todd\u2019s best friend, who offed Theo, and immediately turned to Gary for help.<\/p>\n \t\t Shocked? So was Tina: \u2018I was really shocked, but for me, personally, I completely understand how it happened, why it happened.<\/p>\n \u2018For me to get into her character and her head,\u2029I feel like, in that moment, she didn\u2019t feel like she had any other choice.\u2019<\/p>\n After Kit and Maria rained down accusations on Sarah and Gary, accusing them of engaging in some illicit smoochies, we were shown in a flashback that Sarah received a suspicious text from Todd\u2019s phone. Heading to investigate, she was met with Theo.<\/p>\n True to form, Theo spat venom at Sarah, referencing Billy, the son Sarah and Todd had lost as teenagers. <\/p>\n As things got more heated and it became clear that Theo was more than prepared to physically harm her, Sarah grabbed a metal pipe and bashed Theo right in the bonce, sending him plummeting to the ground below with a grisly thud.<\/p>\n \u2018I think in that moment, as far as she was concerned, it was do or die,\u2019 Tina explained.<\/p>\n Sarah called Gary, desperately panicking. Having dabbled himself in a spot of killing<\/a>, he ordered her wash her hands, then make sure someone sees her elsewhere to give her an alibi, which ended up working a treat when she got brutally assaulted by Jodie Ramsey<\/a>\u00a0(Olivia Frances-Brown<\/a>).<\/p>\n \t\t\t\tDon’t miss a Soaps scoop! So by the time it got to me to go for my meeting, I was a bit like, I think it\u2019s me!<\/p>\n Soap justice is a very real thing, and no crime goes unpunished, especially one as serious as murder. Is Tina worried that Sarah\u2019s actions have given her a shelf life?<\/p>\n \u2018Absolutely, she could be going to prison. If she\u2019d have called the police straight away and explained what happened, she would have been in a much better situation, because it was clearly not pre meditated, it was a situation where she felt she had no other choice. <\/p>\n \t\t \u2018But to cover it up, to actively cover something up, she knows that she crossed a line that she can\u2019t come back from.\u2019<\/p>\n \u2018At the end of the day this job is incredible, but to be an actor is not necessarily a job for life. So, I just was really excited to be given the honour of being the murderer, and then hopefully, however it plays out, I\u2019ll enjoy Sarah\u2019s arc.\u2019<\/p>\n So how\u2019s Sarah feeling now, as it pertains to her relationship with Kit?: \u2018It\u2019s just constant guilt, guilt that she didn\u2019t just call the police when it happened, guilt that Kit thinks it\u2019s Gary, and she knows that she\u2019s responsible for that. <\/p>\n \u2018It\u2019s guilt that a man has died, it\u2019s guilt that Summer has spent time in prison. <\/p>\n \u2018There\u2019s a lot of guilt there and I think also, selfishly, she feels like she\u2019s ruined her chance with Kit, because if he knows what she\u2019s done, he might not want her anymore and she so wanted him to be her future.\u2019<\/p>\n \u2026and her friendship with Todd?<\/p>\n \t\t \u2018It\u2019s weird, does she regret doing what she did? I actually don\u2019t think she does. <\/p>\n \u2018It\u2019s not that I think she wanted to kill him, it\u2019s the fact that I don\u2019t feel that she thought she had a choice in that moment. <\/p>\n I think she feels very guilty about what Todd\u2019s going through, very guilty that she\u2019s lying to him because it\u2019s one of those situations that once she\u2019s started lying, she can\u2019t stop. <\/p>\n \u2018But I think if she was to go back and be in that moment again, would she still do what she did?\u2029I think she felt so threatened that she would, it was self preservation.\u2019<\/p>\n Sarah and Gary are determined to keep her guilt under wraps, and Tina explains the driving force behind their determination: \u2018It\u2019s not just about her now, it\u2019s about her family and her son, and there are times when she can\u2019t cope with the pressure and you think she\u2019s just going to hand herself in. <\/p>\n \u2018And then she thinks about her son growing up without a mum, if she\u2019s convicted and can\u2019t prove she acted in self defence. And because of those things, she\u2019s so desperate to do whatever it takes to be part of her family\u2019s life.\u2019<\/p>\n \t\t But enough about Sarah. How did Tina feel to play out the slaying?: \u2018I really enjoyed delivering that final push. <\/p>\n \u2018James was such a lovely guy to work with, but when he was acting, filming those scenes, it was intimidating and scary, and it really did feel like she was trapped. <\/p>\n \u2018He played it so well. For me, as an actor, to be the one to be up there on the scaffolding in that moment, it felt really good. <\/p>\n \u2018You\u2019re like, oh yeah, it\u2019s me, because you know everyone\u2019s going to be like oh my God, it was Sarah. So yeah, it felt really good, especially knowing what he\u2019d done to Todd.<\/p>\n \u2018I love stunt scenes. We filmed during night shoots, working from 5pm till 5am, up on this scaffolding and there\u2019s just nothing like it really. <\/p>\n \u2018You\u2019ve got all the big lights on, the cherry pickers, you\u2019ve got all the cameras, all the crew, and it just feels like you\u2019re part of something really important and really good fun.\u2019<\/p>\n Arrow Arrow Arrow![\"Sarah](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/SEI_302430200-58d6.jpg\")
