Cardiff Castle’s hosting four of the seven big outdoor events this week as McFly, Garbage, Skunk Anansie, Empire of the Sun and the Blackbird Festivals take over the city centre historic venue.<\/p>\n
Elsewhere, The Cure opens up Blackweir Live for 2026 on Wednesday, June 24, follwed by Teddy Swims on Friday, June 26, before mega rockers Metallica close out the week at the Principality on Sunday, June 28.<\/p>\n
Here we have as much information to help you have an easy and safe evening out at the castle, including the road closures you need to know about, banned items, stage times – when public – and how to get into the castle.<\/p>\n
Want to get out of the city and away from the gig crowds – take a look at the nearest coastal spots and waterside venues to visit, here.<\/a><\/p>\n Road information for Cardiff Castle events<\/p>\n Castle Street will close half an hour before the events end and reopen when the crowds disperse.<\/p>\n For full Cardiff city centre road closure information, please click here.<\/a><\/p>\n Banned items for Depot Live gigs at Cardiff Castle<\/p>\n Chairs, portable furniture, inflatables, or foldable furniture are not allowed into the area.<\/p>\n Food and drink are not permitted however there are food and drink concessions within the event.<\/p>\n Sealed bottles of soft drinks or water under 500ml are permitted. Additionally you can bring an empty reusable water bottle of any size are permitted. You can bring metal, plastic or other materials, however not glass. There will be free water refill stations at the venue.<\/p>\n If you have a medical condition, then a doctor\u2019s note will permit diet-specific food and drink only.<\/p>\n Assistant dogs are permitted on site.<\/p>\n If you are bringing a registered assistant dog, please do let Depot know in the accessible requirements form that is emailed to you by Ticketmaster after purchasing accessible tickets.<\/p>\n Alternatively, please contact them at access@depotcardiff.com.<\/p>\n Small bags\/rucksacks are permitted.
