A Leeds woman was left feeling ‘unsafe’ after she claims a parcel was delivered inside her home despite all doors being locked and nobody being in<\/p>\n

Woman’s warning over worrying find in her house after post man’s visit<\/p>\n

A woman was terrified after discovering a parcel was delivered inside her home, despite all doors being locked and the property<\/a> being empty. The woman returned to her Leeds<\/a> residence on Monday, June 22, to find a package sitting on an armchair in her living room.<\/p>\n

She explained how she’d been out for the day and immediately started to panic, believing she must have left one of her doors open. After inspecting the back door and confirming it was locked, she became increasingly alarmed, questioning how a parcel could have been delivered inside her property – despite nobody being present.<\/p>\n

The woman reviewed her security camera footage, which is positioned above her front door, revealing a man dressed in a Royal Mail<\/a> high-visibility vest approaching her property carrying what looked like the same parcel that ended up inside her home.<\/p>\n

The man seemed to test whether the front door was unlocked, before knocking and waiting for someone to respond.<\/p>\n

The subsequent clip from the security camera captured the same man walking away from the right-hand side of the property before moving out of view.<\/p>\n

The woman stated: “I honestly have no explanation. No one else has keys to my house. I was not in the house. I left the house in the morning. I’ve come back, there’s a package in my house. But then why would someone come into my house?<\/p>\n

“There is no obvious way of entry into my house. This is the most unnerved I’ve been, ever. Like, full stop. I don’t like not understanding… how has someone come into my house?”<\/p>\n

A Royal Mail spokesperson said: “We are aware of the video, but would need the opportunity to investigate before drawing any conclusions about what happened. We would encourage the customer to get in touch and provide the relevant details so we can look into this properly.”<\/p>\n

Having concluded that the only plausible explanation for the parcel’s delivery was through her front window, which had been left on a latch while she was out, the woman decided to test whether it could be opened using a kitchen knife.<\/p>\n

Homeowners issued warning after window lock flaw uncovered<\/p>\n

In under 30 seconds, she successfully lifted the latch and opened the window from outside her property before re-fastening it.<\/p>\n

She said: “I am not feeling well, that makes me feel so unsafe. On another note though, just because you can [deliver parcels that way] doesn’t mean you should. I know he’s been really lovely in terms of he’s delivered my package safely.<\/p>\n

“The bright side is I’ve got my package and now I’ve learned that that can be done. I wouldn’t have learned that could have been done if he didn’t do that.<\/p>\n

“Your latches aren’t as safe as you might have thought, do not leave your house with your windows unlatched because people can break in.<\/p>\n

“I’m incredibly unnerved… It’s just there’s something about someone coming into your personal space.
