{"id":1045557,"date":"2026-06-23T19:38:16","date_gmt":"2026-06-23T19:38:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1045557\/"},"modified":"2026-06-23T19:38:16","modified_gmt":"2026-06-23T19:38:16","slug":"beekeerps-naturals-nasal-spray-recalled-over-infection-risk-nbc-chicago","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1045557\/","title":{"rendered":"Beekeerp\u2019s Naturals nasal spray recalled over infection risk \u2013 NBC Chicago"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A nasal spray sold by a popular brand is being recalled after testing found a possible contamination that could cause &#8220;serious and life-threatening infections.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Beekeeper&#8217;s Naturals voluntarily recalled hundreds of bottles of its saline nasal spray sold on Amazon after the company said they &#8220;tested above our acceptable microbiological limits for yeast and may contain Aspergillus spp,&#8221; a type of mold.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In the population most at risk, such as people with weakened immune systems or lung diseases, there is a reasonable probability that use of the product with Aspergillus spp. contamination will cause serious and life-threatening infections such as invasive sinusitis and lung infections,&#8221; the recall alert issued by the U.S. Food &amp; Drug Administration stated. <\/p>\n<p>As of June 12, the company said it had received four customer reports indicating &#8220;adverse reactions&#8221; possible related to the spray, which is used &#8220;as a sinus congestion rinse.&#8221; Reported reactions including symptoms of sinus congestion, irritation or infection. <\/p>\n<p>More than 580 bottles of the product were sold through Amazon between April 2 and April 24.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Due to a clerical error, this lot 5950 was mistakenly shipped to Amazon before testing results became available. Working with Amazon, we have already directly notified all purchasers of this lot 5950 of Beekeeper\u2019s Naturals Saline Nasal Spray,&#8221; the company said. &#8220;No other Beekeeper&#8217;s Naturals products, including Nasal Spray Max, are impacted by this voluntary recall.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Those who believe they purchased the product should check the lot number on the bottom or back label for Lot 5950, with a best by: date of February, 2028. If it has those numbers, &#8220;discontinue use.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/image_704379.png\" loading=\"lazy\"   alt=\" \"\/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/image_518e78.png\" loading=\"lazy\"   alt=\" \"\/><\/p>\n<p>Those with recalled items are being encouraged to contact the company, and those with potential symptoms of a reaction were urged to contact their healthcare provider.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Beekeeper\u2019s Naturals has taken immediate corrective action to identify and resolve the source of the concern.
